All-in-Ones, Towers, and Mini-PCs
I work on all desktop form factors: traditional towers, all-in-one PCs (including Dell Inspiron AIO and HP Envy AIO), mini-PCs, and home-built systems. The repair approach differs by form factor but the diagnostic process is always the same: free, honest, and complete before you commit to anything.
The Most Common Desktop Fix: SSD Upgrade
If your PC takes three minutes to start up, the single most effective fix is usually replacing the original spinning hard drive with a solid-state drive. Boot times drop from minutes to under 30 seconds. Everything opens faster. The machine feels new. Kyle R. had exactly this done:
“Copied my hard drive to a new solid state. It powers up in a few seconds now and I COULDN’T BE HAPPIER! It was $120 and peace of mind — wish I did this a long time ago! Thanks CCR!!!”
— Kyle R., 5-star Google review
The upgrade includes cloning your existing data to the new drive — you keep everything, just faster. See full SSD upgrade details and pricing.
Repair vs. Replace: The Honest Answer
Older desktops are often worth upgrading rather than replacing — a $100–$150 SSD and RAM upgrade can extend the useful life of a machine by several years. But if the motherboard or CPU is failing, or the machine is more than 8–10 years old and running into multiple simultaneous issues, a replacement conversation makes more sense. I’ll give you my honest take, not the answer that makes me the most money.

Frequently Asked Questions
My desktop won’t turn on at all — is it worth diagnosing?
Yes. A completely dead PC is often caused by a failed power supply, which is a straightforward and inexpensive repair. I’ll take the machine for a free diagnosis and tell you what’s actually wrong before recommending anything.
Can you transfer everything from my old desktop to a new one?
Yes. Data migration is a common service — I’ll copy your files, browser settings, and installed programs (where possible) from the old machine to the new one. It’s much less stressful than setting up a new PC from scratch.
Do you work on custom-built gaming PCs?
Yes. Home-built systems are welcome. Troubleshooting them can be more involved than name-brand machines, but the diagnostic process is the same: free estimate, honest assessment, no work until you approve.
Can you fix my PC without me having to move it?
For software issues, yes — remote support handles most virus removal, slowness, and software problems without you moving anything. For hardware repairs or upgrades, you’d need to either drop the machine off at my Bethel shop or schedule an on-site visit in Danbury.
